As I said, I have some posts about last two years. This is the first one of them - a trip with my parents in the June 2015. It was our last trip before my wedding.
Czech people have little bit prejudices about this part of Germany, because it was (except The Bulgaria) the only foreign country where they could travel during the era of communism. They'll usually tell you there's nothing interesting. We went there because my father did his school practice in local restaurant when he was at teen age. He always told how nice it was - and we weren't disappointed. Its one of the most romantic places I've ever visited. Spa towns, bays with yachts, sandy beaches and specific nature.
I had my diary there and made some notes:
- it's really comfortable to travel in a dining car (with pancakes and cidre)
- we saw many amazing herons, cranes, crows and a huge flock of storks flying right next to our train
- Berlin main train station was full of metalheads because of some German metal festival
- the German coast is interwoven with water canals, where the lurking cats sit (twice as big as ours - and look wild O.o) and hunt for fish
